Skyr is a traditional Icelandic cultured dairy product with a consistency similar to strained yogurt and a milder flavor. Despite being technically classified as cheese, skyr is widely regarded as yogurt and has been a staple of Icelandic cuisine for centuries. This specific skyr culture does not contain rennet, and its microbial profile is the same as that found in traditional skyr.

Our skyr is made with 100% organic milk and active cultures, carefully fermented to ensure high-quality probiotic products that are not only delicious but also packed with beneficial bacteria for overall wellness. This non-traditional skyr has a thick and creamy texture, unlike the ropey texture of traditional skyr. If you are looking for the traditional skyr, it is also available.

Each packet contains approximately 1/2 teaspoon of premium Icelandic skyr yogurt culture, providing enough for two activation processes in case a second attempt is necessary. The culture is made at room temperature, and it ships dehydrated without jars or other props.
