Stir thoroughly and cover with a coffee filter secured with a cord or rubber band. Place in a dark and cool location. Stir once daily for 3-4 days. Follow enclosed instructions carefully.
Rapid Growth Cycle On the fourth day, use a fine mesh strainer to separate and save the kefir grains for the next batch. Do not use soap or detergent to clean the jar or utensils. Just use hot water. Discard the initial two batches and add 1 cup of fresh Grade A milk to the strained grains. You will start producing creamy kefir milk from the third batch, with a new batch every other day.
